Jayanthilal Narayanji-ONE MAN SHOW- entered into the world of sweets and savouries at the age of 12 in Mumbai. He learnt the art of making sweets & savouries and then travelled to Chennai in the year 1958 and struggled for three years working under sweet vendors and finally started his own business in a small space of 8 by 4ft in the name and style of AJAB MITHAI GHAR and Chennai got its first taste of gujarati savouries , khandvi, dhokla, fafda, paatra and Mumbai chaats. The success of AJAB'S was purely based on the quality, taste and customer friendly service.

With the grand success of Ajab, Jayanthilal Narayanji opened another outlet in the year 1973 in Chennai's first mall Fountain Plaza in the name of AJNABI MITHAAI GHAR which instantly captured the market with its lip smacking Chaats, potato wafers and many other Gujarati items.
